Who we are

Prairie Creek Game Birds

We are a small game bird farm that established in the Summer of 2024 in Keystone, Iowa.

We currently operate on a small 5 acer farm. In Spring 2025, we have plans to construct new flight pens and also add a brand new hatching building to the property.

Our mission is to offer healthy, flight conditioned birds, that are able to be released on farm ground for hunters, dog trainers, and landowners alike.

Follow along on our Facebook page to keep up to date with any changes with bird pricing and facility updates.

Adam

I grew up Van Horne, Iowa, just 5 minutes East of Prairie Creek Game Bird farm. I first got into pheasant hunting when I was 13 with my father. I remember shooting my first pheasant with a .410 bolt action shotgun, that was passed down from my grandpa to me. Holding my first pheasant is what started my interest into raising birds.

In 2020, I started training bird dogs with a local dog trainer that specialized in English pointers and German Shorthairs. We started training with pigeons, quickly switching over to bobwhite quail, and then finally using mature pheasants.

Now, Fall 2024, Josiah and I decided to take our passion of pheasant hunting and mix it with raising game birds.
